Mobile In-App Messages

With the growing number of mobile app users, in-app messaging is quickly becoming one of the most important channels to connect with your customers. In-app messaging will allow you to run campaigns that show messages directly in a native mobile application, without the need to code. When combined with other Exponea's capabilities like a single customer view, predictions and product recommendations, you will have another powerful tool to communicate with your customers.

Non-Flickering Experiments Enablement

The human brain can identify images in as little as 13 milliseconds, while flickering or FOOC (Flash of Original Content) that occurs with most A/B testing tools can take anywhere from 100 milliseconds to a full second. Our unique flicker-free technology prevents the flicker effect from impacting the results of your experiments. Be confident that your visitors see only what you want them to see.

Contextual Bandits (website)

Instead of finding the best variant globally (A/B testing), find the best audience for any variant you can think of. Contextual Bandits consider historical and real-time behavior of each individual customer and automatically select the variant that has worked best for similar customers. This will help you take your personalization efforts to the next level.

Text-Based Similarity Recommendation

A new recommendation model allowing you to offer alternative products which can help your customers with product discovery. This model is able to recognize similarities in textual descriptions of the items in your catalogue and uses machine learning techniques to recognize the similarity of words like black and dark.

Recommendations Monitoring Dashboard

Successful recommendation use-cases rely on incoming data quality (catalogs/events), a working integration with the channel (web/email/other), and a good distribution of recommended products. We are working on a dashboard that will demonstrate whether a model is working as expected with a single glance, helping you find potential issues (such as a modified e-shop design breaking integration), or aiding you in improving the model settings.

Communication Frequency Management

Sending too many emails to some customers can pester them and ruin your domain reputation. But too little communication with your loyal customers means missing out on revenue. Set up rules to limit communication frequency for various customer segments, or use our Smart Newsletter Policy, which combines proprietary expert rules with AI.

Recommendations by Size

Imagine the following situation: a customer sees a personalized selection of products on your website, clicks on the item he/she likes, and finds out that the item is not available in his/her size. Such an event leads to frustration and even churn. Recommending only the items available in the customer's size can significantly improve customer satisfaction, conversion, and also help you sell out items which are only left in non-standard sizes.

Mobile Push Notifications Upgrade

Since we take mobile support seriously, we are working on improving our out-of-the-box tracking abilities, our evaluation of mobile push notifications and support for adding custom UTMs.

Email Click Heatmap

The only way you can effectively improve your email marketing is to understand how your customers interact with your emails. Email Click Heatmap provides a fast and visual way to understand where your customers are clicking in your emails. This data will help you discover the strengths and weaknesses of your emails, enabling you to constantly improve the content, layout, and conversion of your emails.

Automatic Email AB Testing

Would you like to find the best performing email variant before sending a campaign to your whole audience? Automatic Email A/B Testing will enable you to test the performance of multiple email variants on a sample of the addressable audience, and then target the rest of the audience with the best performing variant.

Email List Hygiene Filter

Email hygiene is important to avoid spamming your customers, hurting your domain reputation and placement in email inboxes. There was already a possibility to manage list hygiene in email campaigns, but it required repeating the same filter across every single campaign. With this feature implemented, you can now manage it on a project level, thus avoiding this repetition.

Campaign Auto-Evaluation Dashboards

The powerful and flexible analytics in Exponea are useful when uncovering meaningful insights about customers. When it comes to campaign reporting, simple and crisp out-of-the-box dashboards are what will save your time to be able to quickly compare campaigns, draw conclusions and continuously improve based on previous learnings.

Send Campaign Only to a Specific Number of Customers

Sometimes you want to send your campaigns to 100% of your audience, but there are certain situations where your resources or stock are limited. In such an event you may want to send your campaign only to a specific number of customers, ensuring that your resources can fulfill the demand. Our new functionality will allow you to send campaigns to a subset of the target audience determined by a specific number.

Safari Support for Browser Push Notifications

Browser push notifications are an important channel to engage your customers. Even though Exponea supports standard browser notifications, Safari has a custom implementation that Exponea does not yet support. We are working on enabling the integration for Safari servers to extend the customer base that can leverage notifications as a preferred channel.

Improved Initiative Cloning

We at Exponea believe in knowledge sharing. Since Exponea is a very powerful tool, it is not easy to know how to utilize it to its full potential. We want to empower our clients to use as much of Exponea as possible by helping them to simply copy our advanced campaigns to their projects with the click of a button.

Shorter Email Links

Exponea emails are empowered by data and AI, helping engagement and conversion. There are technical optimizations that can be used to further improve these metrics, namely shortening the links in the emails. This will help you decrease the email size, thus preventing Gmail from clipping the message (clipping may significantly decrease email conversion).

Shopify Plus Integration

Easily integrate Exponea with your Shopify Plus store using our new plug and play integration. Replace dozens of Shopify plugins with a single integrated solution, allowing you to collect, analyze, and activate customer data in real-time.

Facebook Lead Ads

Lead ads are the best option for lead generation campaigns on Facebook and Instagram. Combined with Exponea, they can boost your lead generation even more, thanks to capabilities like advanced customer segmentation or predictions. For example, you can target your Facebook Lead Ads towards customers with the highest probability to convert.

DMP – Adform Integration

By integrating Exponea with AdForm you will be able to export audiences defined in Exponea to create AdForm remarketing audiences. This will further enhance Exponea's capabilities in the field of user acquisition and help you use Exponea for even more channels than before.

Amazon S3 Integration

Amazon S3 is one of the most popular cloud file storage services used to store and retrieve any amount of data from anywhere on the web. It is widely used by many of our existing and potential clients. This integration will enable data ingestion from almost any tech stack using Amazon S3 for data storage.

Customer Properties Bulk Sync

Customer properties are ingested from multiple systems and sometimes it is not clear whether the current version is the most up to date. This feature will ensure that we always have the most current version of customer properties.

Delete by Filter

Delete by filter enhances the current delete events functionality. If you choose to delete events, you can filter only those with a specific event attribute or from a specific time period.

Custom URL parameters

Exponea has always allowed the customization of certain UTM campaign parameters - we are now extending this customization to any UTM parameter and even any other URL parameter, so you will be free to tweak links in campaigns as you need.

Data exports to SFTP

To enable a smooth data transfer and improved coexistence with other solutions, we are working on data exports to SFTP. This functionality will enable you to export raw customer and event data directly from the application to SFTP files.

XML Import

XML is one of the most used data formats when it comes to product catalogs for e-commerce. Adding XML format support will speed up the integration phase while at the same time making it more secure.

Storage File Import Upgrade

Importing data from different storages provides a secure and convenient way to transfer data to Exponea automatically. To boost the adoption of this feature, we're introducing a number of usability and flexibility improvements. Namely, reading only previously unprocessed files, and defining files to read with a variable date part.

Timestamp Column in Catalogues

One of the most powerful use case categories is offering goods based on when they arrived in stock and how long they've been there. In order to accelerate the adoption of these use cases across our customer base, we are introducing an automatically added timestamp to each catalog item to indicate when it was last updated.

Usage Dashboards

The usage dashboard allows customers with our new pricing to monitor their monthly quotas in real-time. Whether it’s the number of sent e-mails, SMS messages, notifications, number of processed (tracked/imported) events or the number of stored events in IMF, the Usage Dashboards bring you transparency and a complete overview of your monthly consumption.

Advanced Roles and Permissions

As a project admin, would you like to have better controls over what actions your users can execute and what data they can access? Revamped roles and permissions allow you to tailor sets of permissions to your own needs – you can either choose from 110 pre-made roles (e.g. Catalog Viewer, Scenario Publisher etc.) or create your own “custom roles” matching your business needs.

Understanding Subscriber Base Decrease

The addressable customer base can decrease due to an intermittent failure to deliver email, e.g. an outage or overload of the recipient’s mail server – Exponea currently reflects such cases by setting an “email_invalid” flag in customer properties. To make investigations easier, we’re extending “campaign” events to include also information about when and whether email_invalid was set and for which recipient.

General Consent Settings

With great power comes great responsibility. General consent may be a good servant but a bad master. So it is better to have the option to turn it off completely. Thanks to this setting, you can prevent accidents like sending a test e-mail to your entire customer base. Project administrators will be able to disable general consent for certain channels.

PII Masking

Exponea hides fields with PII to your application users who don’t have “Personal Data” permission assigned in Access Management. We are currently improving our PII masking to ensure that your personal customer data are as secure as possible.

Improved SSL Certificate Expiration Monitoring for Additional Domains

Our clients' SSL certificates used for additional domains may expire without prior notice, resulting in decreased uptime of their data flow to the Exponea application. On top of monitoring the primary domains, we’re adding automatic monitoring for all additional domains.
