Currently expanding our Infrastructure team, we’re looking for a new colleague as Senior Infra/Operations Engineer. Could you be one of them?
Our Infrastructure team currently has 3 members. Their activities include deploying the Exponea platform at new customers, maintaining the stability of virtual machines, database systems, load balancers, and ensuring compliance with CI principles. On a different note, they are tasked with supporting other Exponea teams facing virtualization, database settings, and Linux challenges.

For supporting application, we mainly use Gitlab (Git repository, Docker Registry,CI pipelines with ci-runners). We are trying to keep pipelines in a great shape and lightning fast. We‘re also trying to make registry and repository up-to-date without any dead branches and images. We mainly use NoSQL databases at Exponea, such as MongoDB, Redis, and Elastic stack for various purposes. In this case we support others from runtime to data model. We‘re also using automation mainly Ansible for OS operations and Terraform as cloud provisioning.
What is your idea of a day in the office?
Ours looks like this:
You will work with virtual servers and physical machines running OS Linux and NoSQL databases such as Kafka, MongoDB, Redis and Elasticsearch.
As no-one likes to repeat the same steps on thousands of virtual servers, you will automate tasks with Ansible.
To keep tabs on everything, you will improve our monitoring system comprising Prometheus, Alert manager, Grafana and Zabbix.
You will develop your Google cloud knowledge and skills (we deploy new versions of our app there as a priority), and you will become fluent in debugging. Last but not least, you will get new instances ready for new customers.
Just like a conventional DevOps team, we work in two modes: on and off duty. When on duty, once every few weeks, you will try your hand on keeping the platform stable and providing support to other Exponea teams – both will involve some learning, and we like to accept that challenge.
When off duty, you will work on tasks requested by other teams or contributed as new ideas by our own team to improve things or to make our life easier.
