Currently expanding our Security team, we’re looking for a new colleague as Security Engineer. Could you be the one?

Tasks and responsibilities:

As a Security Engineer you will be expected to:

 

  • Provide security and compliance guidance to your colleagues in other departments like Engineering, Product, Sales, Support and other departments as well as our clients. 
  • Gather evidence for investigation of potential security incidents and related artifacts and vulnerabilities. 
  • Organize and participate in security and compliance audits including customer audits. 
  • Participate in compliance, security and privacy controls development and work on projects related to creation of internal tools and processes for automated controls monitoring and reporting where your log analysis and programming skills will be utilized. 
  • Be actively involved in periodic internal audits evaluating the security state of our production cloud infrastructure and critical business processes and systems.
  • Participate in the automation of compliance, security and privacy controls. 

What we expect of the candidate:

  • Availability to help investigate security issues and artifacts and analyse and document security incidents.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Passion for constant learning of new product features, technologies, customer operational practices, security and privacy frameworks.
  • Ability to work with a team, as well as independently.
  • Creativity and willpower to face challenging situations with focus to provide guidance and solutions.
  • Identification of vulnerabilities and associated risks to security and compliance.
  • Guidance and cooperation with other engineering teams to achieve well-designed, sustainable infrastructure, micro-service solutions and efficient, robust and secure production environment.
  • Understanding of secure development practices, static code review tools, OWASP methodology.

 

Additional technical experience required:

  • Experience with security controls or related security and compliance auditing services in a public cloud environment (Google cloud preferred.)
  • Experience with deployments and infrastructure automation in Public Clouds using Infrastructure as Code.
  • Proficiency with the following languages: Python, bash (shell scripting) for code review and development of internal tools and security control automation. Proficiency in Go, C/C++, Java is an advantage.
  • Experience with production system administration, automation and monitoring.
  • Practical experience with any(the more the better) of the following products: Terraform, GCP, GKE, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Git, Jira, Gitlab, Apache Kafka, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Nginx, Redis, Graylog, Splunk, Palo Alto NGFW, WAF (web application firewall), Cloud access security broker CSAB (e.g. Netskope), Next generation anti-malware solutions NGAV (e.g. Crowdstrike), Linux administration (Ubuntu).
  • Practical experience with SIEM systems (Graylog, Splunk preferred). Administration, deployment and operation of SIEM solution is an advantage.
  • Management and administration of Palo Alto NGFW is an advantage.
  • Ability to communicate security and privacy topics to a wider audience (colleagues in Development, Engineering, Sales, Customer support as well as our Customers and Partners).

 

Welcomed experience and knowledge:

  • Experience in the SaaS environment 
  • Experience with the Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with Google workspace administration
  • Experience with penetration testing and bug bounty programs
  • Experience with SOC (Security Operation Center)
  • Experience with IT security or compliance audits
  • Knowledge of privacy directives (GDPR, CCPA)
  • Practical experience with site reliability engineering (SRE) in environment of a major cloud providers (GCP, AWS, AZURE)
  • Experience with review and documenting business continuity plans and procedures
