We are currently expanding our Finance team, and looking for a new Financial Controller. Could that be you?


The purpose of the role is to carry out and coordinate all finance related agenda in one of the fastest growing Software as a Service (SaaS) companies in the world.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all crucial financial processes are in place (in-house or outsourced) and financial compliance is secured. This refers to accounting, transfer pricing, audit, tax, cash-flow, reporting, etc. in all Exponea entities worldwide (currently in Slovakia, Czech Republic, Germany, United Kingdom, Poland, Russia, USA and UAE);
  • Be a reliable contact person for external auditors, 3rd party vendors (accounting & tax service providers, banks, etc.) and also internal customers (other departments and management), coordinate inquiries and fixing the findings;
  • Perform core controlling functions (IFRS and local accounting standards compliance; cost controlling, forecasting, reporting, etc.)
  • Provide for valuations, due diligence and similar analysis, as necessary;
  • Constantly improve processes and systems;
  • Support junior colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day finance related operations;
  • Any other finance related task or project.

What we expect of the candidate:

  • 4+ years of experience in financially related tasks (planning, controlling, reporting, audit and similar). Better as a generalist than narrowly specialized.
  • University graduate (preferred degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or Management). Enrollment in some professional qualifications, such as CFA, CPA, or ACCA, considered a plus.
  • Fluent in English; Russian and German considered a plus.


Must have skills:

  • IFRS and SAS knowledge on high level;
  • Expert computer skills including MS Office;
  • Punctual, diligent, and also able to have helicopter view;
  • Common sense, realistic, reliable, down to earth;
  • Good execution skills to make things happen, project mgmt. skills – leading and delivering end to end (ownership);
  • Strong in analysis and problem solving, also able to interpret and explain things in a simple way;
  • Get along well with others, strong team player.

  • Scope of work is broad not only due to 8 different jurisdictions but also due to the nature of activities – IFRS consolidation, Group financial audit, transfer pricing modeling, coordinating external accounting and tax teams in each country, setting up processes and guidelines for local entities, getting familiar with legal specifics of individual countries, being responsible for Group cash-flow management, reporting and forecasting, etc.
